Interior Designer II
Position Summary
Develop designs and plans for the interior of health and fitness facilities based on the needs of the client. Creates functional and aesthetic designs that help boost productivity, increase sales, attract customers and enhance spaces.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Demonstrates understanding of architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts
- Conducts field verification as required
- Affords assistance in programming and space planning analysis
- Develops design plans, elevations and details (including reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish selections plans, elevations and schedules)
- Prepares contract documents
- Led effort in color/finish/material, furniture, accessories and signage specifications selection and coordination, providing research, analysis and budget cost
- Maintain prototype designs and specifications based on industry best-practices
- Coordinates with architectural staff and purchasing to ensure new prototypical designs are issued in all
- Participates in site observations and documentation analysis during construction process
- Relyes on instructions and pre-established guideline to perform the job, works under immediate supervision
Position Requirements
- Currently holds or is working toward CID
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design; including space planning and furniture specification
- Adhere to Life Time Best Practices
- Proven experience and skills managing and mentoring multiple teammates
- Advanced Revit, SharePoint, and Bluebeam skillsets
Preferred Requirements
- LEEP AP
- Experience using Procore
- Strong skills in programming, planning principles, materials and furnishings
- Experience in application of interior design principles and theory
- CAD, 3D computer modeling/Sketch/Up, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Pay
This is a salaried position starting at $58,000.00(or applicable minimum salary, if higher) and pays up to $80,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
