Interior Design Intern

Responsibilities

• Maintain design library
• Aid interior design team with concepting and specifying showrooms and trade shows
• Create furniture typicals and mood boards
• Research trends in contract interior design for core markets (corporate, education, healthcare)

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field
• Foundational understanding of design principles, space planning, materials, and finishes
• Familiarity with how interior design can support branding and marketing goals
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Basic knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) is a plus
• Ability to create mood boards, visual concepts, and presentation layouts
• Comfortable researching and specifying furnishings, materials, and finishes
• Strong visual storytelling, brainstorming, and creative concepting abilities
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Detail oriented, reliable, and eager to learn in a fast paced environment

About the Role

This fall internship is aligned with the academic school year and will be based at KI’s Corporate Office in Green Bay. You'll build real-world skills and play a part in shaping how design influences brand storytelling.
