INTERIOR DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE FACULTY & PROGRAM DIRECTOR

SUMMARY

Mercyhurst University is seeking one full-time faculty member in the Interior Architecture & Design Program.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture is required, with a terminal degree preferred.
• Demonstrated teaching and professional experience is preferred.
• Candidate must hold at least one degree in interior design and be NCIDQ certified.
• Desired qualifications include LEED certification and experience with CIDA accreditation standards.
• Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience or proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to teach courses in one or more of the following areas:
• 2D and 3D manual drafting and sketching
• Building systems and technologies
• Color and Light
• Computer aided drafting and design
• Foundational through upper-level interior design studios
• History of Interior Design and Architecture
• Human Factors
• Manual and digital rendering and presentation techniques
• Materials, systems, technologies, and specifications
• Sustainability
