Interim Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

About the role

Our client, a publicly traded healthcare technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to support its accounting organization during a critical reporting cycle. This role is 100% remote and has a duration of 2 months with the potential to extend.

Responsibilities

• Manage key aspects of the quarterly financial reporting process, including preparation of regulatory filings and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and maintain financial reporting workpapers, disclosures, earnings support materials, and related reporting documentation.
• Support financial statement preparation, earnings per share calculations, cash flow reporting, and related analyses.
• Coordinate with Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, and external auditors throughout the reporting cycle.
• Research and document technical accounting matters, including preparation of accounting memoranda and position papers.
• Support accounting for equity-related transactions, stock-based compensation, and other complex accounting areas.
• Maintain reporting controls, respond to audit requests, and assist with regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Drive reporting deliverables through preparation, review, and final filing while managing multiple deadlines and stakeholder requests.

Requirements

• 6+ years of accounting, financial reporting, and/or SEC reporting experience.
• Public company reporting experience, including hands-on preparation of quarterly and annual filings.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting principles, and financial statement reporting.
• Experience preparing technical accounting analyses, disclosures, earnings per share calculations, and cash flow statements.
• Experience working with external auditors and managing reporting deadlines in a public company environment.
