Interim Quality Director

About the role
An Interim Quality Director is needed to provide strategic leadership for quality, risk, and performance improvement initiatives while ensuring regulatory readiness across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this leader will oversee the Quality department, including one Quality Coordinator/Infection Preventionist. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and proactive leader who can quickly assess organizational needs, build strong relationships across departments, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. This individual should be highly organized, patient-focused, and adaptable to changing priorities, with the ability to communicate effectively, influence teams, and drive meaningful results in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
- At least three years of Director-level experience in Quality and Risk within an acute care hospital
- Demonstrated success with regulatory preparedness, accreditation compliance, and performance improvement initiatives
- Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance

Pay
Compensation range: $150,000 to $165,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation.
