Interim Director of Quality

About the role

An Interim Director of Quality is needed to provide leadership and oversight for quality, risk management, patient safety, and centers of excellence. Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. Key responsibilities include driving culture change at the bedside, strengthening process discipline, leading root cause analysis efforts, improving systems to reduce risk, maintaining a highly visible presence on the floors, and connecting process measures with outcome measures to drive sustainable improvements.

The ideal candidate will be a highly visible and engaging leader who can build relationships across the organization, influence culture change, and effectively engage frontline staff. This leader should be comfortable challenging existing practices, asking thoughtful questions, and creating accountability while maintaining a collaborative approach. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.

Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• BSN required; MSN preferred
• Active RN license required
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification required
• Two or more years of director-level quality leadership experience
• Experience in quality, risk management, patient safety, root cause analysis, and RL Solutions

Pay

Compensation range: $160,000 to $168,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations.
