About the role
We are looking for an Interim Human Resources and Payroll Director to join our team at RegalCare at Courtyard at Medford, a leading healthcare facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and confidentiality. Maintains personal employee information including but not limited to medical, pay, demographic, discipline, schedule preferences, accommodation requests, etc. in the strictest confidence. Protects company confidential information.
- Maintains current working knowledge of company and center policies and procedures, pay practices, employee benefits, and employment laws and communicates regularly with employees to promote understanding and utilization.
- Coordinates center applicant flow processes from sourcing through selection using the Talent Acquisition Recruitment and Hiring Guidelines. Coordinates all center hiring needs with Recruiting. Ensures required reference checks, criminal background checks, applicant drug tests, and physicals are completed along with all other necessary pre-employment and paperwork.
- Manages and participates in Welcoming Program. Ensures all new employees are trained in time clock procedures and initiates employee badge photos.
- Ensures all benefit information is communicated, collected, and administered according to deadlines. Directs employees to self-service options.
- Establishes and monitors Performance Evaluations schedule for all employees. Counsels managers and supervisors proactively ineffective performance management techniques to improve employee retention and productivity.
- Directs employees to appropriate resources in response to employee needs and/or requests.
- Ensures compliance with company payroll policies and federal, state, and local payroll laws. Manages FMLA process by company policy for center employees.
- Investigates causes of employee disputes and grievances as requested and recommend corrective action. May take lead and advise center leaders and department managers on employee investigations as directed and ADA interactive conversations.
- Creates and maintains individual employees' files/records (manual and electronic) as well as Center employee-related files/records including Benefit Accruals, Service Date Adjustments, Licensure/Certification/Education, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment Claims, and Employee Health/Medical Records (i.e. Drug Testing, CPR, Hep B, PPD, Physicals (where applicable), FMLA) according to policy and legal standards. Ensures the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the information.
