Interim Environmental Services Operations Manager
Interim opportunity supporting Environmental Services operations across two facilities in a Southern Maine healthcare system.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, this interim leader will oversee four Environmental Services Supervisors across three shifts and approximately 50 FTEs. The focus is on providing stability and leadership during the transition to a regional Environmental Services structure and standardized operating model. A key priority is supporting Joint Commission readiness efforts ahead of an upcoming survey window.
The ideal candidate has strong Environmental Services operations experience, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to build relationships and support teams through change. Previous interim leadership experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct oversight of Environmental Services operations across two facilities
- Leadership of four Environmental Services Supervisors and approximately 50 FTEs
- Drive stability and standardization during transition to a regional operating model
- Support Joint Commission readiness efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Previous Environmental Services leadership experience required

Pay
Compensation range: $155,000 to $165,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations.
