Interim DSD LPN LVN

About the role

We are now hiring an Interim Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN) to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring our staff is trained to deliver the best care possible to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide the necessary orientation, educational, and learning opportunities in a supportive environment that will assist staff in gaining the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to perform assigned duties safely and effectively.
• Monitor the activities of nursing staff to ensure the quality of care complies with state, federal, and corporate standards.
• Direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as LPN/LVN in the state.
• Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience.
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Infection Prevention Certified, Supervisory experience, Experience with PointClickCare.
