Interim Director of Imaging

About the role

An Interim Director of Imaging is needed to provide stable senior leadership for a busy imaging department while supporting operational performance, culture, and team morale. Key responsibilities include stabilizing departmental operations, supporting staff engagement and morale, and maintaining imaging quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong imaging leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to stabilize departments, strengthen morale, and effectively lead teams through periods of transition. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Appropriate imaging-related licensure and certifications required
• Previous director-level imaging leadership experience required, with experience overseeing high-volume radiology and imaging operations strongly preferred

Pay

Compensation range: $165,000 to $175,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations.
