About the Position
We are seeking a physician with exceptional compassion, professional acumen, and leadership skills to oversee an Ember Health facility. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, coordinate long-term care with a network of mental health providers, and lead a high-performing clinical team. This is a temporary interim Clinical Director position covering leave from December through February. Onboarding will occur in October and November, with flexible start dates based on the candidate's availability. Preference is given to full-time coverage, but part-time options are also considered. Salary and benefits are provided for the duration of the assignment. Clinic hours are Mondays and Thursdays: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Administer infusions to patients, both directly and through oversight of clinical support staff, following Ember Health protocols.
- Determine appropriate ketamine dosages and facilitate infusions.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and efficacy data.
- Monitor patients during the infusion process and engage in therapeutic communications to ensure psychological safety.
- Coordinate longitudinal care with a network of mental health providers, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to patients through regularly administered mood surveys.
- Lead a clinical team including full-time nurses and an office administrator.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and relaxing environment for patients.
- Engage with the central and leadership teams to secure necessary resources and support.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the clinic to deliver top-quality patient care.

Compensation Package and Benefits
Interim full-time physicians will be compensated at the equivalent annual Clinical Director rate ($301,500), prorated for the duration of the leave assignment. Part-time candidates will receive prorated salary and benefits, as applicable. This is an in-person opportunity based in the New York metropolitan area.
