About the role
The Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide executive financial leadership during a critical period of growth and transformation. This role will partner closely with the executive team to drive financial strategy, strengthen operational performance, and ensure the organization has the financial infrastructure needed to support continued success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial strategy, business performance, and operational initiatives.
- Lead all accounting and finance functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, banking relationships, and debt compliance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, KPI reporting, and executive dashboard development.
- Partner with operations to analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, gross margins, pricing, and profitability.
- Oversee inventory accounting, costing, reserves, physical inventories, and cycle count programs.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, audit readiness, tax compliance, and risk management processes.
- Drove ERP optimization, financial process improvements, and scalable infrastructure initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership and provide oversight for administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA and/or MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including CFO, VP Finance, Corporate Controller, or Plant Controller roles.
- Strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience required.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, inventory accounting, and operational finance.
- Experience leading ERP implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
- Prominent ability to partner with executive leadership and influence strategic business decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
