About the role

Elk bestuur is als werkgever verplicht een interne preventiedienst op te richten. WVI wil besturen die dit wensen hierin ondersteunen. Daarom richtte WVI een GIDPBW op, of gemeenschappelijke interne dienst voor preventie en bescherming op het werk. Het voordeel van een preventiedienst op intergemeentelijk niveau is dat de preventieadviseurs fulltime met de materie bezig zijn en dat de opvolging van de wetgeving voor alle besturen samen gebeurt. In samenwerking met de externe preventiediensten staat de preventieadviseur het bestuur bij in zijn opdracht als werkgever om het welzijn van hun werknemers te behartigen.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a full-time prevention advisor for multiple municipalities within West-Flanders.
• Collaborate with external prevention services to support local authorities in ensuring the well-being of their employees.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to local authorities on matters related to workplace safety and health.

Requirements

• Relevant certification as a Prevention Advisor at Level 2.
• Proven experience in technical service roles, preferably in a leadership or project management capacity.
• Behavior that aligns with the requirements of the position. This is assessed during hiring based on a selection excerpt from the criminal record.
• Hold a valid Class B driving license.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
