Interfacility Transport EMT

Job Summary

The Interfacility Transport EMT will operate on the EMS Transport Services' Team. The primary duty of the Interfacility Transport EMT will be to assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of patients on the Interfacility Transport Services’ ambulance.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic or a Certificate of program completion in Emergency Medical Services (EMT/Paramedic) is required.
• South Carolina Driver’s license – Must be active and in good standing
• South Carolina EMT license required.
• BLS-American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider issued card required
• FEMA-100, 200, 700, 800 preferred
• EVOC must be obtained within 60 days of employment

Skills

The Interfacility Transport EMT will report to the Chief of Interfacility Transport Operations. They will serve as a member of the Healthcare team through active communication; documentation; feedback and assistance as needed or requested. The Interfacility Transport EMT will attend meetings, education opportunities, and in-services as required by departmental policy, and contribute to the growth and development of their self and the Interfacility Transport Services’ Team.
