- Commitment Details: 9 months - 1 yr commitment, once a week shift minimum to meet 150 hour requirement

Description
Vigil Volunteers provide a reassuring presence at the bedside of a dying patient who would otherwise be alone. This may involve:
- Being present
- Playing music
- Reading to the patient
- Holding the patient’s hand
- Providing support to family members
Vigil Volunteers are on call for at least one four-hour shift each week. A background check, health clearance, and volunteer orientation are provided by PIH Health prior to placement.
