About the role
You will serve as an Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Architect (Design Production Coordinator) in the Design Production/Quality Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Senior Engineer/Architect performing duties as the Design Production Coordinator (DPC) for the Command.
- Manage design and construction projects to ensure the structure, systems, functions, and performance adhere to pre-established standards and requirements.
- Evaluate contractor proposals to determine if they meet the government's architectural and engineering legal requirements.
- Compose technical correspondence to communicate engineering and architectural designs, plans, and objectives to higher level management, technical experts, and staff.
- Evaluate architect-engineer (A/E) project resources, work methods, processes, and staffing to initiate actions that will reduce cost or increase productivity.
Qualifications
- Must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or a Registered Architect (RA).
- Your license or registration must be held in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Must submit a copy of your current license or registration with your application package.
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Must demonstrate the following in your experience: acting as a Design Manager on design actions, writing scopes of work, developing Independent Government Estimates, and leading teams and analyzing workload projections.
