About the Position
This position is located with the Inland Navigation Section of Albany Field Office, Operations Division, New York District and will report to the Chief of Inland Navigation Section. The incumbent will work on civil works programs/projects to include river, harbor and coastal work.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements civil works programs/projects to include river, harbor and coastal work.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Conducts site inspections and prepares reports on project progress.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinates with other departments to integrate project requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to civil works projects.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Knowledge of GIS and spatial analysis tools.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
