Engineer, ME Design

The Design Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing manufacturing processes for aircraft products, ensuring producibility, evaluating build processes, tooling, and implementing process improvements. Key duties include ownership of production process definition, tooling approval and troubleshooting, reviewing engineering drawings for manufacturability, managing design changes, and creating installation and build plans. Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or aerospace preferred), with at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or related fields. Skills include supporting manufacturability reviews (DFM/DFA), developing assembly plans, evaluating design risks, and managing tooling and installation processes. Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD (especially CATIA), GD&T, and SAP is essential, along with strong troubleshooting, data analysis, project management, and leadership abilities. Candidate must be a self-starter, capable of working independently, and contributing effectively within a team environment.
