About the role
Apply in-depth knowledge of Test and Evaluation principles, engineering, and scientific theories to analyze complex programs. Evaluate technical issues and provide expert guidance. Applies advanced engineering or scientific theories to modify concepts and assumptions for mission-critical problems.
Responsibilities
- Effectively engage, consult, and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to synchronize efforts, represent organizational interests, and resolve diverse viewpoints.
- Skillfully presents oral and written technical direction and briefings to leadership, including the ATEC Commanding General (CG).
- Conduct routine consultation with organizations outside of ATEC to ensure ATEC's position is well known.
- Plan, organize, and lead high-priority initiatives and study teams.
- Ensure projects are managed efficiently within financial and time constraints and align with strategic objectives.
- Develop and recommend improvements in processes, policies, and regulations governing Test and Evaluation within the materiel acquisition processes.
- Generate novel ideas, originate new projects, and develop innovative methodologies to guide acquisition programs.
- Resolve unique or unprecedented problems.
- Formulate and present substantial technical recommendations for problem resolution.
- Serve as the Senior Advisor to the CG, ATEC and PAE C2/cC2 for all test and evaluation matters.
Requirements
Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. Must obtain/maintain the following requirements for each Cyber work role: 1) Foundational qualification requirements within 9 months, 2) Resident qualification requirements within 12 months, 3) 20 hours of Continuous Professional Development. Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A pre-employment and recurring comprehensive background investigation are required. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Pay
Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
Schedule
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
