Intelligence Specialist (Cyber).

Responsibilities

• Conduct offensive Computer Network Operations (CNO), network reconnaissance, and vulnerability analyses of system networks and/or hosts.
• Conduct open-source data collection via various online tools.
• Collect raw intelligence critical to operational objectives while performing cyberspace operations.
• Provide and maintain draft documentation for cyberspace operations and CNO tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) as inputs to training programs.
• Test and evaluate locally developed tools for operational use.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Temporary duty (TDY) travel will be required 25% or less of the time.
• May be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions.
• Overtime/shift work may be required.
• This position is designated Mission Essential; must remain on duty or report to duty on-time during emergency and/or crisis situations.
• Must successfully complete the Remote Operator training course (FORGE) within 2 years.
• Must obtain Senior level USCYBERCOM/ARCYBER JQR certification within 2 years of completing the Remote Operator Training.

Qualifications

Only applicants who meet one of the following employment authority categories are eligible to apply:

• Current Department of Army Civilian Employees
• Veteran's Preference eligible candidates (as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C.)

To qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: At least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job, including:

• Researching military, political, scientific, and technical developments.
• Participating in planning working groups.
• Identifying intelligence gaps.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, private sector experience, or experience in another government agency at a level equivalent to the next lower band in the series. This experience should demonstrate:

• Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle, and organizations.
• Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics, and maps.
• Knowledge of the systems, procedures, and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting, and disseminating intelligence data.
• Knowledge of organization(s) and methods for collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

• Salary includes applicable locality pay.

• Stress is inherent in the nature of work, including short suspense actions, time pressures, and possible recall situations with irregular work hours, including weekends and holidays.
• This position is considered Non-Combat Essential (NCE) in support of the Army's mobilization and wartime mission. Employees must sign DD Form 2365, acknowledging the requirement to maintain certain levels of medical, security, performance, conduct, and fitness suitable for assignment to austere and stressful combat environments.
