About the role

The Intelligence & Investigation Analyst supports the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in protecting company personnel, intellectual property, physical assets, brand reputation, and business operations. This position monitors global events, evaluates and triages threat information, conducts open-source research, and supports internal and external investigations. The analyst will transform raw information from multiple sources into timely, actionable intelligence for security teams, business leaders, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a curious, analytical, detail-oriented professional who can quickly assess information, identify what matters, and communicate key findings clearly and concisely in a fast-paced corporate security environment. This is an exempt, salaried position.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor global events, including natural disasters, civil unrest, crime, active threats, geopolitical developments, and emerging risks, and assess their potential impact on personnel, facilities, travel, operations, and brand reputation.
  • Support the intelligence cycle through the collection, collation, evaluation, analysis, and dissemination of relevant information.
  • Utilize open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, social media monitoring, localized news sources, and other approved information sources to identify, assess, and escalate potential threats.
  • Review inbound alerts, threat information, suspicious activity, and other reporting streams; evaluate credibility, relevance, and severity; and escalate significant findings according to established protocols.
  • Assist with investigations by gathering information, reviewing access-control and CCTV data, compiling digital footprints, and organizing supporting documentation for investigators and stakeholders.
  • Support brand-protection and online-risk monitoring efforts, including identifying counterfeit activity, phishing campaigns, fraudulent domains, impersonation, and other threats affecting intellectual property, reputation, or client trust.
  • Maintain accurate case records, incident documentation, and supporting materials within appropriate security and investigations systems while adhering to documentation and chain-of-custody standards.
  • Produce concise, decision-ready intelligence products, including alerts, daily briefs, situational reports, case summaries, threat-actor profiles, and travel-risk briefs.
  • Conduct open-source and internal research to support investigative summaries, analytical judgments, and stakeholder briefings.
  • Provide timely situational awareness and analytical support during incidents and emerging events.
  • Collaborate with GSOC personnel, corporate security, investigators, travel-risk stakeholders, and other internal partners to support informed decision-making.
  • Operate effectively in a 24/7 security environment, balancing routine monitoring responsibilities with time-sensitive and urgent requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, political science, intelligence studies, data analytics, international affairs, security studies, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant analytical, investigative, military, law enforcement, GSOC, or corporate-security experience, subject to client approval.
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical, investigative, intelligence, military, law enforcement, GSOC, or related role. Relevant internships may be considered.
  • Professional experience supporting research, monitoring, triage, reporting, or investigative functions is preferred.

Skills

  • Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize fragmented information into clear, actionable judgments.
  • Familiarity with open-source intelligence methods, social media monitoring, and threat-assessment techniques.
  • Ability to distinguish relevant, credible, and actionable information from background noise.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce concise, highly readable reporting using a Bottom-Line-Up-Front (BLUF) format.
  • Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively in routine and high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and collaborative workplace tools such as Teams, Zoom, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated professional ethics and the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including potential shifts, nights, weekends, or schedule adjustments based on GSOC coverage requirements.
  • Familiarity with data visualization, dashboards, or reporting platforms such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fusion center, GSOC, command center, investigations unit, intelligence-support function, or enterprise security environment.
  • Familiarity with threat-intelligence, travel-risk, mass-notification, access-control, video-management, or enterprise-risk platforms, including Dataminr, Healix, AlertMedia, Lenel OnGuard, or Milestone XProtect.
  • Experience with online brand protection, anti-counterfeit investigations, cyber-enabled fraud, or reputation-risk monitoring.
  • Dual-language proficiency or demonstrated international and cross-cultural awareness.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, sound judgment, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced analytical environment.
