About the role

This is a paraprofessional position in which the teacher assistant supports the classroom teacher with a variety of tasks after training. These tasks include implementing emergency plans, providing health-related services, and carrying out instructional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with instructional procedures.
• Implement emergency plans as directed.
• Provide health-related plans and services under supervision.

Supervision

Work is performed under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher, building administrator, and the appropriate Special Education Department administrator.
