Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) Coordinator

About the Role

The ITM Coordinator serves as an essential member of the Group Residence teams, overseeing the implementation of the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) in both group residences. This role involves program development, data tracking, and ensuring youth participation in therapeutic and recreational services. The goal is to transition youth back to the community, family, or independent living while addressing emotional and behavioral challenges stemming from trauma.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation for group sessions and collaborate with the Clinical Director to ensure youth participation.
  • Gather and analyze data for the biannual Program Implementation Review (PIR).
  • Troubleshoot implementation barriers, develop action steps, and track progress toward goals.
  • Participate in ongoing ITM (DBT) training to become a culture carrier of the model within the organization.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operation of the ITM model, including skills groups, coaching, and on-the-fly teaching across programs.
  • Organize and facilitate groups in both programs, ensuring facilitators are prepared weekly.
  • Attend ITM consultations and leadership meetings.
  • Carry a small clinical caseload at Cedar Knolls House, including weekly therapy sessions and timely documentation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • LCSW, LMSW, or a master’s degree in social work, behavioral health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, or residential treatment settings.
  • Specialized experience with residential treatment and group facilitation.
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) preferred.
  • Demonstrated training skills and strong verbal/written communication.
  • Commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and youth-guided family-driven care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Solution-focused and strengths-based approach with cultural competency.

Skills

  • Excellent engagement and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to use data to inform practice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and aptitude for learning new software.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical systems or CONNECTIONS preferred.
  • Visual and manual dexterity for regular computer and office equipment use.

Work Environment

  • Ability to navigate stairs and travel between two program locations.
  • Routinely required to sit (70% of the time) and stand (30% of the time).
  • Attend meetings outside of the program as needed.
