The Special Program Security Department of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking an undergraduate student to assist with projects involving the tracking and accountability of controlled material primarily supporting the Department of Defense with national security research initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain multiple document control databases and verification of reproduction, distribution, destruction and receipt records
- Aid in the preparation of security forms for personnel submitted to research sponsors including initial submission, debriefs and periodic reinvestigations
- Control visitors, verify current visit requests, and check visitor identification
- Aid in periodic inventories and inspections
- Identify, enhance, and implement processes to better safeguard and account for controlled material to ensure compliance with government regulations
Requirements
- Work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer
- Location: On-site in State College, PA
- Paid internship opportunity
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain a government security clearance
