Program Planning is integral to Lockheed Martin's Program Management & Enterprise Performance, organizing tasks for mission success by scheduling design, development, and sustainability of products. It breaks down products into tasks, sets sequences and durations, ensuring on-time, in-budget, quality outcomes. Aeronautical program planning combines creativity, science, and technology to create machines that enable exploration in the air and beyond.

This position is primarily remote, with more than 50% of the work performed from home. Occasional on-site visits to Fort Worth, TX will be required based on program needs, and candidates must reside within reasonable proximity to accommodate ad-hoc requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support an integrated team to ensure successful program execution and performance, including all aspects of a validated Earned Value Management system.
• Share responsibility for baseline management and control, and assist in variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain schedules, integrating and assessing schedule impacts of proposed work on existing and future plans.
• Refine knowledge of Critical Path Methodology and apply it in schedule network development and analysis.
• Interact across functional organizations such as engineering, procurement, contracts, business management, and production.
• Actively participate in the evaluation of planning products and practices, and remediate gaps upon identification.
• Partner with Program & Senior Management to drive cost, schedule, and technical performance by facilitating integration across all functions.
• Develop compliant Integrated Program Schedules that validate flow, budget, and resources required to execute contractual scope and program strategy.
• Provide time-phased critical path predictive analysis and actionable planning data, developing solutions to programmatic execution conflicts.
• Track, monitor, and status all commitments.
• Prepare and coordinate the development of planning artifacts for solicitation response.
• Interface with program management, senior management, and the customer as the program’s planning integrator.
• Ensure vertical and horizontal integration, and cost/schedule integration between all schedules and other program artifacts.
• Devise modeling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline, and perform schedule risk assessments.
• Utilize performance and health metrics analyses to drive actions resulting in improved program performance.

Primary tools used: Deltek Open Plan Scheduling Tool, Milestones Professional, Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), including Cost/Schedule Integration.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, projects, or programs.
• Experience presenting to leadership, customers, or other stakeholders.
• Previous experience with Deltek OpenPlan, Primavera, Microsoft Project, or a similar tool.

Desired Skills

• Degree in Construction Management, Program Management, or Business Administration.
• Experience with networked schedules, integrity checks, and critical path methodology.
• Experience with Schedule Performance Management Techniques, e.g., Earned Value Management.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Previous experience with Deltek OpenPlan.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $89,100.00 - $165,500.00. The salary range is a general guideline; actual offers consider factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market/work location.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
