Integrated Logistics Support, Sr - PR 1427
General Function
The contractor supports Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) by helping plan, analyze, and implement sustainment strategies to keep systems mission-ready across their entire life cycle, including coordination of maintenance, personnel, supply, and infrastructure elements.
Responsibilities
- Assist logisticians in organizing all maintenance activities, ensuring systems remain operational through structured support across organizational, intermediate, and depot levels.
- Perform analytical studies such as reliability-centered maintenance, level-of-repair analysis, and battle damage repair assessments to optimize maintenance strategies and cost-effectiveness.
- Recommend maintenance capabilities at each repair level, including calibration processes, required equipment, and sustainment plans.
- Track weapon system modifications and support the source of repair assignment process, including coordination across military services.
- Ensure maintenance planning accounts for environmental and safety factors such as corrosion control, hazardous materials, structural integrity, and nondestructive inspection.
- Identify needs for contractor logistics support, interim contractor support, and post-production sustainment strategies.
- Conduct analyses such as workload, human factors, occupational structure, and mission requirements to determine staffing needs and optimize personnel allocation.
- Develop provisioning strategies, calculate initial and replenishment spare requirements, and monitor repair and production of spare parts.
- Evaluate alternative sourcing strategies, manage diminishing manufacturing sources, and support provisioning documentation and conferences.
- Ensure all required tools, test equipment, and resources are identified, acquired, and delivered at the right time and location with lifecycle cost considerations.
- Create and maintain engineering data systems that ensure accurate documentation, configuration control, and traceability of system requirements and changes.
- Prepare data management and technical order plans, track data delivery and verification, and manage updates, deficiencies, and engineering change proposals.
- Develop training plans, requirements, and alternative training approaches, including specialized training such as parachute rigger instruction.
- Ensure necessary IT infrastructure, software, and personnel are planned and managed to support mission-critical systems efficiently and affordably.
- Conduct site surveys, develop facility requirement plans, and support activation of bases and depots to ensure operational readiness.
- Ensure proper preservation and movement of equipment, including hazardous and classified materials, while coordinating logistics documentation and funding.
- Align system design with logistics requirements such as reliability, maintainability, safety, and interoperability to reduce lifecycle costs and improve readiness.
- Analyze and implement warranty strategies, ensuring cost-effective coverage, proper tracking, and alignment with system acquisition and sustainment goals.
Qualifications
- Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MS) and twelve years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD).
- BA/BS degree, and fifteen years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
- Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
