Integrated Logistics Specialist - I (Assistant)
Description
The Associate Logistics Specialist will be responsible for export of raw materials and finished goods and will work closely with freight forwarders, QA departments, USDA and other regulatory officers. Provide data to the Finance department so they can assign transfer prices and process letters of credit. Work with and handle all the countries that our Company Animal Health (AH) Division supports and will use the most efficient freight forwarder based on cost and service to maximize our return. Works with the manufacturing plants to provide better cost-efficient methods of shipping products and maintain export country shipping metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Export Order Processing
- Communicate with Animal Health and our Company International Affiliates and Third-Party Customers to schedule shipments and handle any export concerns
- Work with the markets to insure they have all the documentation necessary to clear customs
- Work with the plants to ensure the due dates of the markets are met and/or work out other arrangements to service the customers
- Validate Letters of Credit and insure we are shipping in compliance with our credit department
- Report out the export shipping metrics
- Update the reports for products/customers and products in transit
- Export Process Improvement
- Analyze data to improve current practices and processes
- Analyze exports to insure we are using the most efficient mode to transfer international products
- Miscellaneous Export Tasks
- Transfer pricing, research samples, Supplier show free goods, facilitate transfers between countries
- Maintain order status, customer, product specifics and compliance databases
- Enter data, monitor order status for adequate supply of product to fill orders
- Maintain compliance on export shipments with AH and our Company, US Government, international laws and destination country regulation

- Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Access, Excel and Word
- Ability to prioritize and strong organizational
- Principled verbal and written communications
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International or related field
- Three to five years in Global Transportation, Intl customer service, inventory management, warehousing
- International logistics
- Proficient in systems including SAP
- Effective analytical skills
Pay
$27.70 - $29.70/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Schedule
12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.
