Logistics Specialist I
About the role
Sazerac Company produces and markets award-winning bourbons and whiskeys, including Buffalo Trace, Pappy Van Winkle, Eagle Rare, Blanton’s, and Sazerac Rye, as well as a range of spirits such as Fireball, Svedka, Southern Comfort, and Seagram’s V.O. This position supports logistics services domestically and globally, ensuring raw materials and finished products are transported safely and efficiently while balancing costs, service levels, and compliance with government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare optimized loads by weight and route to achieve on-time pickups, scheduling, and deliveries.
- Eliminate out-of-stocks, maximize load factors, and minimize freight and storage costs.
- Facilitate claims and work with domestic and global customers, facilities, and partners.
- Exceed expectations across all customer segments, addressing requests and complaints to satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement in products, services, or processes, evaluating efficiency, effectiveness, and flexibility.
- Utilize the MyDevelopment system for feedback sessions, grid ratings, and 360-degree feedback.
- Support cost-saving projects without compromising quality.
- Measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and create automated data extraction/collection systems for dashboards and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in process design, implementation, and improvement.
- Ability to communicate with all organizational levels and manage multiple projects.
- Strong customer service aptitude and ability to work with field-level to executive management.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and self-directed.
- Strong analytical, technical, and planning skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, and/or transportation.
- 1 year of global supply chain experience.
- Experience in the alcohol beverage industry or CPG sector.

Pay
The hourly range for this role is $26.40 – $39.60. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.
