Intake Mental Health Technician - Weekends
Position Summary
The A&R Technician is responsible for assisting in the process of receiving, scheduling and/or referring inquiry calls. Assists the A&R Clinicians, Coordinators and Director with coordinating assessments, initiating Intake paperwork and insurance information. Work with Admission Coordinators to ensure smooth transition into the admission process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment.
- Process all requests for information and external referrals.
- Absorb and greet walk-ins, ensuring initial intake paperwork is complete.
- Absorb and assist in arranging for admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the A&R Clinician.
- Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.
- Absorb and assist in obtaining needed records and information.
- Absorb and assist in compiling charts and distributing to units.
- Absorb and assist in maintaining all statistics; provide support to the Outcome Study, and other data, as assigned.
- Maintain good communication with the Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff as indicated.
Your Experience Matters
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Experience: Experience working in a hospital intake department or business office, preferred.
- Additional Skill Requirements: CPI and CPR certified.

Compensation
This is a part-time role, and the expected compensation range is $20.00-$24.00 hourly. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level.
