Intake Assessment Technician (PRN)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the process of receiving, scheduling and/or referring inquiry calls.
• Absorb minimal demographic information from referral calls and refer them to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment.
• Process all requests for information and external referrals.
• Complete pre-certifications as needed.
• Arrange for admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager.
• Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.
• Aid in obtaining needed records and information.
• Maintain good communication with the Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff as indicated.
• Maintain a log of received calls and disposition of the calls, and other informational tools as assigned.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, practicing good standard of customer service.

Experience Matters

• Education & Licensure: Bachelors’ degree preferred. Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
• Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Compensation

This is a PRN role and the expected compensation range is $23.00/hourly. We're eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level.
