About the Role

The Intact Family Services Case Manager provides in-home services to identify service needs while assessing child and family safety. Under the assigned supervisor, delivers direct casework management, counseling, or mental health services to children and families within agency policies and program context. Utilizes human service principles in developing relationships, conducting assessments, and creating service plans.

This position covers multiple counties and focuses on maintaining and strengthening family units to prevent children from entering the foster care system. Services include intensive in-home case management, 24-hour emergency response, and support in areas such as housing, employment, and child development.

Responsibilities

  • Complete client assessments and develop strength-based service plans.
  • Use the SACWICS data system for case documentation and management.
  • Coordinate and facilitate services to community resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention services.
  • Assist families in locating employment, housing, daycare, and meeting basic needs.
  • Arrange and/or provide transportation for families to school, medical appointments, and other essential services.
  • Participate in court proceedings on behalf of the child and family, including testimony, hearings, and compiling court records.
  • Act as a liaison with multiple public and private agencies to advocate for and assist with the service needs of families.
  • Demonstrate strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with effective communication (verbal, written, and listening).
  • Perform documentation, presentations, and problem-solving tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field (required).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the field (preferred).
  • Child Welfare Licensure (CWEL) preferred.
  • Valid auto insurance, driver’s license, and ability to pass a physical exam/TB test.
  • Home-based service experience preferred.
  • Ability to function well in a team environment and collaborate with outside agencies.
  • Resourcefulness in researching issues and developing solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
