Insurance Verification Specialist

About the role

The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Insurance Verification specialist. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance for assigned physical therapy clinics
• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
• Communicate professionally, both orally and written for clear, legible messages
• Work directly with insurance companies
• Update patient's insurance coverage

Requirements

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
• Education required: HS/GED
• Experience: One year work experience in a medical office setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred

• Ability to work under pressure
• Outstanding organizational and writing skills
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Independent, self-starting and highly motivated
• Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history
• Knowledge of data entry and Excel a plus
