About the role
AgWest Farm Credit is seeking an Insurance Specialist I or Insurance Specialist II to join their Washington Lending and Insurance department in Wenatchee or Moses Lake. This full-time position reports to the Insurance Agent II, AVP and assists with providing high quality, profitable and constructive insurance products and related services to customers.
Responsibilities
- Gather customer/applicant information and other supporting data in person, by phone, or in writing in order to complete required applications, documents or reports.
- Accurately key and adjust verified customer information for review and action by agent or others.
- Monitor follow-up requirements in assigned areas.
- Comply with appropriate regulations and procedures in completion of applications, forms, documents and reports.
- Perform clerical duties such as typing correspondence and documents, establishing and maintaining files, verbally answering the telephone and taking messages as required.
- Maintain industry knowledge through ongoing crop insurance educational training/seminars.
- Ensure media inquiries and requests are referred to appropriate staff.
- Adhere to appropriate counterparty and vendor management protocols as described in company procedures.
- Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Generally, requires two or more years of related work experience in insurance or general office functions.
- Ability to input and maintain accurate data across multiple systems while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Understanding of agriculture and insurance services.
- Strong administrative and customer service skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work with customers, outside parties and colleagues.
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Solid computer skills including MS Office applications.
- Ability to read, write and present general business information.
- Professional working Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.

Pay
- Moscow/Moses Lake: Level I: Typical starting range: $40,000 - $51,900 Full base salary range: $40,000 - $57,800 Annual performance-based incentive target is 6% of base. Level II: Typical starting range: $44,200 - $58,900 Full base salary range: $44,200 - $66,200 Annual performance-based incentive target is 6% of base.
- Wenatchee: Level I: Typical starting range: $44,200 - $57,500 Full base salary range: $44,200 - $64,200 Annual performance-based incentive target is 6% of base. Level II: Typical starting range: $48,400 - $64,500 Full base salary range: $48,400 - $72,600 Annual performance-based incentive target is 6% of base.
