Insurance Services Representative - Hybrid

Insurance Services Representative I is responsible for collection and resolution of outstanding insurance receivables, including but not limited to unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims. The role requires effective communication while accurately and efficiently handling a high claim volume, performed in alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect and resolve outstanding insurance receivables, including unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims.
• Communicate effectively with patients, insurers, and internal teams.
• Handle a high volume of claims accurately and efficiently.
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer and keyboarding skills.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Prior EPIC Resolute Hospital Billing or Ambulatory experience.
• Prior revenue cycle and/or healthcare billing or insurance experience.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Schedule

Hybrid, Full-Time – required to be on-site approximately half a day per week.
