About the role

The Auto Club Group (ACG) is seeking an Insurance Service Representative to provide high-level support to the Insurance Agency and members. This role involves servicing existing insurance accounts, processing applications, renewals, amendments, resolving customer problems, and selling membership and financial products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform retention calls, process applications, renewals, amendments, and resolve customer problems.
  • Provide price quotes on all insurance products and factor in applicable rules and discounts.
  • Take insurance payments (initial, installment, lapse, or reinstatement).
  • Respond to customers' insurance inquiries and explain product features and Auto Club Group service advantages.
  • Recognize and promote cross-sale opportunities within the context of servicing a change to an existing member's policy.
  • Conduct outbound promotional and retention call activities and participate in team environments to promote customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve member/customer complaints and refer to management for assistance.
  • Participate in office events to generate insurance revenue and support local community activities.
  • Fulfill, maintain, and service insurance policies.
  • Prepare insurance proposals, policy changes, transfers, and billing clarification.
  • Contact members or insureds regarding renewal of delinquent memberships, late premium payments, and reinstatements in case of policy cancellations.
  • Refer relevant members/insureds to other lines of business (i.e., Travel and Life).
  • Process insurance and membership payments.
  • Update electronic member information.
  • Maintain filing systems and provide other general Agency support.

Requirements

  • Current Property & Casualty Insurance license.
  • Successful completion of Customer Service, Insurance, and Membership training within 6 months of hire.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Ability to provide high-level customer-focused service.
  • Experience in servicing insurance policies and processing applications, renewals, and amendments.
  • Responding to billing and coverage questions.
  • Processing monetary transactions, taking payments.
  • Promoting the sales of insurance products and services using established guidelines.
  • Analyzing member/potential customer insurance needs and determining appropriate levels of coverage.
  • Preparing appropriate rate quotations.
  • Organizing, planning, and promoting the sale of ACG insurance and membership products and services.
  • Performing outbound service calls.
  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology, regulations, and underwriting procedures.
  • Understanding of sales regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Using insurance systems and/or membership systems (e.g., PPS, POS, IMS, IPM).
  • Working effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Exceeding member expectations in professionalism, customer service, and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Performing mathematical calculations to accurately perform monetary transactions.
  • Working under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Successfully completing appropriate training relative to all ACG products and services.

Pay

Starting hourly wage of $22.96 - $25.50 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. 40 hours per week. Scheduled hour for lunch each day. This is an in-office position based at an ACG branch facility.
