Insurance Follow Up Rep

Job Summary

As our Insurance Verification Rep, you will be a cornerstone of our revenue cycle management team, responsible for ensuring that patients' insurance benefits are thoroughly verified and necessary authorizations are obtained. Your work directly contributes to a smooth financial clearance process for patients, helping prevent billing issues and ensuring timely reimbursement for our services.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits
• Obtain crucial behavioral authorizations
• Complete pre-registration and registration tasks
• Answer patient and front desk staff inquiries via phone and email
• Leverage work queues, online portals, faxes, and written correspondence to efficiently manage a high volume of verification and authorization requests
• Ensure all obtained authorizations are appropriate and precisely documented
• Understand federal and state laws, including HIPAA, and payer guidelines for authorization and benefit verification
• Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and payers

Preferred Job Requirements

• High School GED or General Studies and two years of revenue cycle or related work experience, upon hire
• High School Graduate or General Studies and two years of revenue cycle or related work experience, upon hire
• Graduation from a post-high school program in medical billing or other business-related field, upon hire
