Insurance Defense Attorney, Partner Level (10+ Years)
About the role
Resnick & Louis, P.C. is a renowned national defense firm looking to expand its roster of highly skilled partner‑level lawyers to serve corporate partners and a broad client base that includes over 100 domestic and foreign insurance companies, managing general agents, and dozens of regional and national self‑insured corporations. Successful candidates will receive a non‑equity “partner” level title. The firm offers strong marketing/business‑development support, gives lawyers independence to communicate with clients and develop cases, provides access to upper management, and places you on a responsive, high‑achieving team. Trial‑level lawyers are available to assist, but you are encouraged to try your own cases when you demonstrate the necessary skills. As lead counsel you will manage the day‑to‑day handling of your cases and are expected to be actively involved.
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead counsel on day‑to‑day management of assigned cases.
- Be actively involved in case strategy and client communication.
- Develop and prosecute cases independently, with support from trial‑level lawyers as needed.
- Collaborate with upper management and the firm’s marketing/business‑development team to grow your practice.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of insurance defense experience.
- At least 5 years of that experience must be in Texas.
- Experience in one or more of the following defense areas: bodily injury, construction defect, professional liability, insurance coverage, bad faith, environmental, general liability, transportation, employment.
