Responsibilities

  • Provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or Progressive Insurance Companies in all aspects of litigation
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation
  • Ensure all appropriate defenses are leveraged to reach positive outcomes
  • Analyze written discovery, depositions, medical records, and assess the value of claims to determine risk exposure

Requirements

  • Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM)
  • A minimum of two years general/auto litigation experience
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas

Qualifications

This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must reside within the state of Texas. In-person attendance may be required for litigation-related events, as well as occasional training sessions and team meetings.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Knowledge of insurance defense litigation procedures

Pay

$133,697 - $146,900/year

Schedule

Primarily remote; occasional in-person attendance required for litigation-related events, training sessions, and team meetings.
