About the Role
Philip Baker Insurance is seeking a personable, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to serve as a first point of contact for our clients. This is a phone-first role. Our office sees relatively little walk-in traffic, so the majority of the day is spent handling inbound calls, quoting, and servicing existing policies for a book of business split evenly between personal and commercial lines. The ideal candidate is comfortable juggling a variety of tasks in a small-agency environment, stays calm and empathetic under pressure, and takes pride in building genuine relationships with the people they serve.
Responsibilities

- Quote new business and process policy changes, including auto policy changes.
- Confer with customers to explain coverage options, take payments, and provide requested documentation.
- Resolve customer concerns and service issues with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate client records and details of interactions using the agency's management system (Hawksoft).
- Work closely with a small, tight-knit team—pitching in where needed, taking direction well, and staying self-motivated.
Requirements
- Hold an active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty insurance license (required).
- Have prior personal lines insurance experience; commercial lines experience helpful.
- Have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Bring a friendly, empathetic approach to every interaction, and enjoy building lasting relationships with the people you work with and serve.
- Stay steady and solutions-focused.
- Be proficient with computer systems, including Hawksoft (or a comparable agency management system) and Microsoft Excel/Office.
Benefits
- Paid Time Off - Vacation & Holidays
- Health Insurance Coverage
