Insurance Customer Service Representative

About The Position

This is a client-facing insurance service position supporting both personal and commercial insurance accounts. Your responsibilities and level of account management will be based on your prior experience. Someone with strong Account Manager or Account Executive experience may take on more independent account management responsibilities, while someone coming from a CSR or support position will receive training and opportunities to grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with policy questions, changes, billing, certificates, and other service needs
• Service personal and commercial insurance accounts
• Quote new and existing business with multiple insurance carriers
• Process endorsements and renewals
• Prepare applications, ACORD forms, and carrier submissions
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and underwriters
• Maintain accurate information in our agency management system
• Assist walk-in clients at our Ocean City office
• Support account retention and identify opportunities for additional coverage

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience working in the insurance industry
• Experience in an insurance agency, brokerage, carrier, or other insurance office setting
• Property & Casualty experience preferred, but not required
• Property & Casualty license preferred, but not required
• Experience with personal lines, commercial lines, employee benefits, or other insurance products is welcome
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Organized and comfortable managing multiple client requests
• Comfortable working with insurance software, carrier websites, and office systems
