About the role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys across all aspects of complex litigation. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of legal experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, from case intake and investigation through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, post-trial matters, and appellate proceedings.
  • Prepare, finalize, and file legal documents, including motions, discovery materials, agreements, pleadings, and related submissions in state and federal courts.
  • Maintain professional and responsive communications with clients, experts, witnesses, vendors, court personnel, and other case-related contacts.
  • Support the discovery process, including preparing and serving subpoenas, locating witnesses, scheduling depositions, assisting with deposition preparation, drafting discovery requests and responses, and preparing pleadings and memoranda.
  • Assist with document review and production workflows using e-discovery platforms and coordinate production materials, privilege logs, and related quality-control tasks.
  • Conduct factual research and investigation, including locating and reviewing public records, case materials, court filings, and other relevant sources.
  • Organize and maintain case files, track matter materials, monitor calendars, and ensure litigation deadlines are met.
  • Use legal research databases and online research tools to retrieve materials, organize information, and conduct legal and factual research as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a legal environment, preferably involving litigation, insurance coverage, or law firm work.
  • Strong ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, and outside contacts.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and remain organized under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential, privileged, and sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with e-filing systems, document management platforms, legal research tools, or e-discovery software is a plus.
  • Four-year college degree and paralegal certificate preferred.
