About the role

Are you a growth-oriented attorney looking to join a top-tier defense firm? Due to an increase in client demand, this national firm is adding Insurance Coverage/Insurance Litigation Attorneys at the Associate and Of Counsel levels to their Portland office.

Responsibilities

• Investigate insurance claims
• Review discovery
• Take depositions
• Represent clients in mediations and trials
• Draft a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and coverage opinion letters
• Provide coverage advice and build lasting relationships with clients across the nation

Requirements

• 2+ years of defense litigation experience
• 3+ years of insurance coverage or coverage litigation experience
• Oregon State Bar membership
• JD degree

Qualifications

Strong writing skills and client service skills are essential. Communication skills are key to developing collaborative relationships with colleagues in local and national offices.
