Insurance Coverage Attorney

About the role

Kennedys, a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked global law firm serving insurers and the London market, is seeking motivated and dynamic attorneys to join its national and international insurance coverage litigation practice. This is a hybrid position based in the Ft. Lauderdale office.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing coverage issues and bad faith claims
• Drafting coverage opinions, pleadings, and dispositive motions
• Conducting discovery in insurance coverage litigation
• Handling depositions, attending court conferences, and arguing motions
• Exposure to First Party Property Coverage claims is a plus

Requirements

• 2‑3 years of relevant coverage experience with a strong litigation background
• Admitted to practice and in good standing in Illinois (additional admissions in other states a plus)

Skills

• Strong writing skills
• Experience litigating coverage matters, including depositions, court conferences, and motion practice
