Insurance Coverage Attorney

Kennedys, a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked global law firm serving insurers and the London market, is seeking motivated and dynamic attorneys to join its national and international insurance coverage practice. The position is based in Austin or Houston, but our culture fosters global collaboration daily.

Responsibilities

• Analyze coverage issues
• Draft coverage opinions, pleadings, and dispositive motions
• Conduct discovery in insurance coverage litigation
• Handle excess and surplus lines, general liability, construction defect, D&O, environmental, personal and advertising injury claims in Texas
• Take and defend depositions (helpful but not required)
• Attend court conferences and argue motions (helpful but not required)

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant diverse coverage experience
• Strong litigation background
• Admitted and in good standing in Texas (additional admissions in other states a plus)

Pay

The annualized salary range for this role is $130,000–$220,000, contingent upon level of experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

1920 billable hour requirement.
