Insurance Coordinator

Position Purpose

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Insurance Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in managing insurance‑related tasks, ensuring that our patients receive the maximum benefits from their insurance plans. The Insurance Coordinator will be an integral part of the team, responsible for a wide range of insurance‑related duties and contributing to the overall efficiency of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for treatments and procedures.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
• Post insurance payments to patient accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
• Follow up on outstanding claims, resolving any issues or discrepancies with insurance companies.
• Communicate with patients regarding their insurance benefits, coverage details, and any necessary documentation.
• Manage patient accounts, ensuring all insurance‑related information is up‑to‑date and accurate.
• Work closely with other professionals to form a highly effective team, attending to the administrative tasks of the office.

Minimum Qualifications

• Patient‑centric attitude with a focus on enhancing patient satisfaction and office efficiency.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in dental or medical insurance coordination.
• Familiarity with dental/medical billing and coding practices.
• Proficiency with dental/medical practice management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and be a self‑starter in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong customer service expertise to ensure a superior patient experience.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned and adapt to evolving practice needs.
