Insurance Compliance Analyst (contract)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance-related questions, coverage requirements, and investor insurance guidelines.
  • Track insurance policy renewals and obtain invoices, paid receipts, and evidence of insurance within required timeframes.
  • Review investor insurance requirements, including Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae guidelines, to establish compliance standards.
  • Analyze loan documents, appraisals, engineering reports, seismic reports, and environmental assessments to identify property-specific insurance requirements.
  • Conduct annual reviews of insurance certificates, policies, statements of values, and invoices to verify compliance with investor and loan requirements.
  • Process insurance waivers and exception requests, including supporting documentation for non-compliant insurance matters.
  • Maintain accurate insurance data within enterprise servicing platforms.
  • Prepare and submit lender and investor reports as required.
  • Develop an understanding of insurance casualty provisions and claims processes.
  • Partner with servicing, operations, and insurance teams to resolve compliance issues and support portfolio servicing activities.
  • Assist front-end servicing and insurance operations teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial insurance, insurance compliance, insurance risk, loan servicing, or a related financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of commercial property insurance coverages, certificates of insurance, policy reviews, and renewal processes.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret loan documentation and investor requirements.
  • Experience reviewing insurance compliance documentation and identifying exceptions.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and portfolios.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting commercial real estate or commercial mortgage portfolios (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, or other investor insurance requirements (preferred).
  • Experience with servicing systems or insurance tracking platforms (preferred).
  • Understanding of insurance claims, casualty provisions, and investor compliance standards (preferred).
