Insurance Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent

About the role

As a Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent – Small Business, you will support the agency sales team and agency renewal and new business service teams. Your role will focus on optimizing small business renewals through managing the renewal process and nurturing client relationships while meeting sales, service, and quality standards adopted by the agency.

Responsibilities

• Service Commercial Lines Book of Business
• Process endorsements, billing/payments (invoice transactions, record payments, prepare finance agreements), and claims
• Create new/renewal business submissions and handle loss runs (create letters, order loss runs, obtain/order experience modifiers)
• Gather and help complete supplemental applications and supporting documentation
• Issue certificates, evidence of insurance, auto ID cards, and binders
• Check and mail out policies; create proposals for agents as needed
• Track and process cancellations (pending and cancelled) and audits
• Remarkets bonds and quote account rounds for existing Commercial Lines business
• Stay updated with carrier updates and underwriting information

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent (College degree preferred)
• Industry knowledge preferred
• Obtain and maintain applicable licensing (Insurance designation preferred)

Skills

• Proficient in PC operating systems, particularly Applied Epic
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of and experience with Carrier websites and Comparative rater websites

Schedule

This position follows a 4-1 workweek: employees are expected to be on-site four days per week and may work remotely one day per week.
