About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Claims Specialist to join our dynamic law practice. In this role, you will manage and process insurance claims efficiently and accurately, serving as a liaison between clients, insurance companies, and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate insurance claims submitted by clients for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information for claim processing
- Interact and negotiate with insurance adjusters, carriers, and legal teams to resolve claim-related issues
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine claim validity and gather supporting documentation
- Provide timely updates to insureds regarding claim status and progress
- Prepare and submit legal documents, including releases and related claim materials
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding claim progress
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal regulations, insurance guidelines, and company policies
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of clerical experience in a law firm, court, or collections environment
- Previous experience in insurance claims processing or a legal support role preferred
- A strong understanding of insurance policies and claims regulations
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously
- A strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
