Insurance Claims Specialist

Location:Santa Barbara Professional Center -224 Santa Barbara BlvdCape Coral FL 33991 Department: Patient Business Office Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/7:00:00AM to 3:30:00PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$21.01 - $24.69 / hour Summary Responsible for retrieving physician records from the patient chart within Epic and preparing the requested documentation for submission to payers. Performs accurate sorting, preparation, scanning, and indexing or correspondence and check batches for posting. This role will provide support across the Support Staff and function as a float, adapting to changing priorities and operational needs. Strong attention to detail, organization and time management. Strong communication and teamwork but also work independently. High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required. Minimum 1-2 years medical/ financial healthcare or business office experience. Must have computer experience and the ability to type 30 words per minute. Working knowledge of excel desired.
