Responsibilities

  • Connect with prospective and current clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options
  • Prepare quotes, explain policy features, and help clients make informed decisions with confidence
  • Maintain strong relationships through consistent follow-up, helpful service, and clear communication
  • Identify opportunities to round out accounts and support client retention over time
  • Manage policy documentation, updates, and day-to-day account service with accuracy
  • Work closely with internal team members to support client satisfaction and smooth policy handling
  • Stay informed on products, carrier guidelines, and industry changes so you can give reliable guidance

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license, if required for the role
  • Prior experience in insurance sales, account management, or a customer-facing sales role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build trust quickly and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Comfort working with quotes, policy details, and client follow-up tasks
  • Proficiency with basic CRM systems and common office software
  • Knowledge of personal lines or commercial lines insurance, preferred
  • Experience meeting sales goals while maintaining a service-first approach, preferred
  • Local knowledge of the Roanoke, Virginia market, preferred
