Responsibilities
- Connect with prospective and current clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options
- Prepare quotes, explain policy features, and help clients make informed decisions with confidence
- Maintain strong relationships through consistent follow-up, helpful service, and clear communication
- Identify opportunities to round out accounts and support client retention over time
- Manage policy documentation, updates, and day-to-day account service with accuracy
- Work closely with internal team members to support client satisfaction and smooth policy handling
- Stay informed on products, carrier guidelines, and industry changes so you can give reliable guidance
Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license, if required for the role
- Prior experience in insurance sales, account management, or a customer-facing sales role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build trust quickly and maintain long-term client relationships
- Comfort working with quotes, policy details, and client follow-up tasks
- Proficiency with basic CRM systems and common office software
- Knowledge of personal lines or commercial lines insurance, preferred
- Experience meeting sales goals while maintaining a service-first approach, preferred
- Local knowledge of the Roanoke, Virginia market, preferred
